Day and Moon (Korean: 낮과 달; RR: Natgwa Dal) is a 2022 South Korean drama film written and directed by Lee Young-ah. The film explores themes of grief, memory, and healing through the story of a woman navigating life after the loss of her spouse.

Plot

Following the sudden death of her husband, Kyung-chi, the protagonist Min-hee decides to relocate to her late husband's hometown on Jeju Island. Seeking solace in a place he cherished, she moves into his former home. During her time on the island, she forms an unexpected connection with her neighbor, Mok-ha, a local yoga instructor, and Mok-ha's son, Kim Tae-kyung.

Production and Release

The film was written and directed by Lee Young-ah, with cinematography by Lee Joo-hwan. It held its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in October 2021. The film received a theatrical release in South Korea on October 20, 2022. It has a total runtime of 111 minutes.
