Background and Development
The series is based on the webcomic Hamburo Dahaejwo written by Sun Woo, which was serialized on Naver between March 20, 2020, and August 27, 2021. The television adaptation was directed by Jang Yang-ho with a screenplay written by Park Yoo-mi. It replaced the series Nothing Uncovered in its designated time slot.
Plot
The story follows Kim Hong-do (played by Lee Yoo-young), a determined woman working as a contract employee for the design team of a mid-sized apparel company. Despite facing professional challenges and being looked down upon by colleagues, she maintains a positive outlook and aspires to work for a global luxury fashion brand.
Her path crosses with Shin Yoon-bok (played by Kim Myung-soo), a man from the traditional Seongsan Village. While Yoon-bok adheres to the customs of a Confucian scholar in his daily life, he harbors a rebellious spirit and a secret ambition to become a webcomic writer. To pursue this dream, he leaves his traditional village for Seoul, where he encounters Kim Hong-do.
