Dakara Watashi wa Oshimashita

Dakara Watashi wa Oshimashita (Japanese: だから私は推しました), also known by its English title My Favorite Member, is a Japanese television drama series produced and broadcast by NHK. The series aired from July 27 to September 14, 2019, consisting of eight episodes.

Plot

The story follows Mana Endo, an office worker (OL) approaching her 30th birthday. Having grown disillusioned with her habit of curating her image on social media, she experiences a shift in perspective after witnessing a live performance by Hana Kurimoto, an underground idol. Despite Kurimoto's lack of polished performance skills, her earnest dedication leaves a lasting impression on Endo.

Production

The series was directed by Keita Hosaka and Yoshio Watanabe, with the screenplay written by Yoshiko Morishita. It occupied the Saturday 23:30–23:59 time slot on NHK, following Fujoshi, Ukkari Gei ni Kokuru and preceding Please Do Not Attempt, Never.
