Dai Byoin Senkyo
Dai Byoin Senkyo (Japanese: 大病院占拠), also known by its English title Captured Hospital, is a Japanese television suspense drama series that aired on NTV from January 14 to March 18, 2023. The series consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast in the network's Saturday 22:00 time slot.
Plot
The story follows Saburo Musashi, a detective currently on administrative leave. Musashi is estranged from his wife, Yuko Musashi, who works as a cardiac surgeon. The plot centers on a crisis at a hospital where an armed group wearing masks takes control of the facility, holding staff, patients, and Yuko Musashi hostage. Saburo Musashi must navigate the situation to rescue the hostages from the captors.
Production
The series was directed by Taro Otani, Yoshinori Shigeyama, and Ryo Nishimura, with a screenplay written by Teppei Fukuda and Kenta Tateuchi. It occupied the NTV Saturday 22:00 slot, following the conclusion of Patient Chart Prayer and preceding the premiere of Dr. Chocolate in April 2023.
