Curtain Call (2022 South Korean Television Series)
Curtain Call (Korean: 커튼콜: 나무는 서서 죽는다) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from October 31 to December 27, 2022. The series, directed by Yoon Sang-ho and written by Jo Sung-girl, explores themes of family, identity, and the consequences of deception.

Plot
The story centers on Yoo Jae-heon (played by Kang Ha-neul), an optimistic and resilient actor working for a local theater troupe. Despite his humble background, he maintains a positive outlook on life. His life takes a dramatic turn when he is approached by an elderly gentleman with a unique request: to impersonate the long-lost grandson of an elderly woman, Ja Geum-soon. The woman's actual grandson had defected from North Korea, and the impersonation scheme sets off a complex chain of events involving the woman's family and the Nakwon Hotel.
Production
The series was originally developed under the working title Namuneun Seoseo Jukneunda, which translates to "A Tree Dies Standing." It occupied the Monday and Tuesday 21:50 time slot on KBS2, succeeding the series The Law Cafe and preceding Brain Works.
During its broadcast, the schedule for episodes 7 and 8 was adjusted to accommodate the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Episode 7, originally slated for November 21, 2022, was moved to November 22 due to the broadcast of the England vs. Iran match. Similarly, episode 8 was shifted from November 28 to November 29 to accommodate the Korea vs. Ghana match.
