Cross (2018 South Korean Television Series)

Cross is a South Korean medical thriller television series that aired on the cable network tvN in 2018. The drama consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Monday and Tuesday nights at 21:30. The series was directed by Shin Yong-hwi and written by Choi Min-suk.

Plot

The story follows Kang In-kyu, a man whose father was murdered 13 years prior to the events of the series. Driven by a desire for vengeance against those responsible for his father's death, he pursues a career in medicine. He eventually volunteers at a prison medical office, where the individual who murdered his father is currently incarcerated.

Production

The series was originally developed under the working title Cross: Shinui Sunmool (Cross: God's Gift). The first script reading for the production took place in late November 2017 at Studio Dragon in Sangam, South Korea. The series premiered on January 29, 2018, taking over the time slot previously held by Ugly Young-A (Season 16), and concluded on March 20, 2018, before being followed by A Poem a Day.

Cast

The main cast includes Ko Kyoung-pyo as Kang In-kyu, Cho Jae-hyun as Go Jung-hoon, and Jeon So-min as Go Ji-in. Supporting roles are played by Jin Yi-han as Lee Joo-heyok and Yang Jin-sung as Son Yeon-hee.
