Crime Squad (South Korean TV Series)

Crime Squad (Korean: 강력반; RR: Kangryukban) is a South Korean police procedural television series that aired on KBS2 from March 7, 2011, to April 26, 2011. The series follows a team of detectives as they navigate various criminal investigations using distinct personal methods and professional expertise.

Production

The series was directed by Kwon Gye-Hong with a screenplay written by Heo Ji-Young and Park Seong-Jin. It occupied the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot on KBS2, succeeding Dream High and preceding Baby-faced Beauty.

The production experienced several casting changes during its development. Actor Kim Seung-Woo was originally cast as the character Jung Il-Do but withdrew due to personal reasons; he was replaced by Lee Jong-Hyuk. Additionally, actress Sun Woo-Sun, who portrayed Lim Kyeong-Eun, departed the series after the seventh episode. Starting with the ninth episode, actress Kim Sun-Kyung assumed the role.
