Crime Puzzle (South Korean Television Series)

Crime Puzzle is a South Korean thriller drama series that premiered on October 29, 2021. The series was broadcast through the streaming platforms Olleh TV and Seezn. It consists of 10 episodes and is based on the webcomic of the same name, written by Meen and illustrated by Misang, which was serialized by Book Cube Webtoon Company between 2015 and 2016.

Plot Synopsis

The narrative follows Han Seung-Min (played by Yoon Kye-Sang), a prominent forensic psychologist and professor at the Police University. The plot initiates when Han Seung-Min abruptly confesses to the murder of the father of his girlfriend, Yoo Hee (played by Ko Ah-Sung), who is a criminal profiler. Following his confession, he is sentenced to life imprisonment. Skeptical of the truth behind his sudden admission, Yoo Hee begins an investigation into the case, which involves conducting a series of 10 interviews with Han Seung-Min while he is incarcerated.

Production

The series was directed by Kim Sang-Hoon, with the screenplay adapted by Choi Jong-Gil. During the early stages of production, actor Park Hae-Jin was initially cast in the lead role of Han Seung-Min but eventually withdrew from the project for undisclosed reasons.
