Confession (Korean: 자백; RR: Jabaek) is a 2022 South Korean crime thriller film directed and written by Yoon Jong-Seok. The film centers on a high-stakes murder investigation involving a sealed-room mystery.

Plot

The story follows Yoo Min-Ho, the CEO of an IT company, who finds himself the primary suspect in a murder case occurring within a locked room. To navigate the legal proceedings, he hires Yang Shin-Ae, a defense attorney with an undefeated record. As the investigation unfolds, the narrative focuses on the testimony and involvement of Kim Se-Hee, a woman who holds critical information regarding the crime.

Production

The film was directed by Yoon Jong-Seok, who also penned the screenplay. Principal photography for the project commenced on December 16, 2019, and concluded on February 29, 2020. The film was distributed by Lotte Entertainment and received its theatrical release in South Korea on October 26, 2022.
