Cleaning Up (South Korean TV Series)
Cleaning Up is a South Korean television series that aired on JTBC from June 4 to July 24, 2022. The drama, directed by Yun Seong-Sik and written by Choi Kyung-Mi, is a remake of the 2019 British television series of the same name.
Plot
The story follows three women—Eo Yong-Mi (Yum Jung-Ah), An In-Kyung (Jeon So-Min), and Maeng Su-Ja (Kim Jae-Hwa)—who work as cleaning staff at a brokerage firm. Each woman faces significant personal and financial challenges: Eo Yong-Mi is a single mother raising two daughters, An In-Kyung aspires to purchase a food truck for a mobile cafe business, and Maeng Su-Ja is a pragmatist who maintains social connections primarily for personal gain. Their lives take a dramatic turn when they overhear insider information at their workplace, leading them to engage in insider trading to improve their financial situations.
Production
The series occupied the Saturday and Sunday 22:30 time slot on JTBC. It premiered following the conclusion of My Liberation Notes and was succeeded by The Good Detective 2 on July 30, 2022.
