Plot
The story follows Shin Mi-rae (played by Kim Sun-a), a low-ranking government official who spends years performing menial tasks for her superiors. Her life changes significantly after she wins a local beauty pageant, which eventually leads to her unexpected rise to the position of mayor. Her name, Shin Mi-rae, translates to "new future." Throughout her tenure, she encounters Jo Kuk (played by Cha Seung-won), an ambitious and charismatic politician with a complex past who harbors aspirations of becoming the President of South Korea.
