Choi Sung-Won (born Choi Min-Woo on January 17, 1985) is a South Korean actor known for his work in television dramas, films, and television movies.

Early Life and Career Background

Born in South Korea on January 17, 1985, Choi began his acting career taking on diverse supporting roles across various television series and cinematic projects. He gained notable recognition for his role as Sung No-Eul in the popular 2015-2016 tvN television series Reply 1988.

Health and Career Interruption

In May 2016, while filming the JTBC drama series Secret Healer, Choi noticed light bruising and subsequently sought medical evaluation. On May 4, 2016, he was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Because the condition was detected during its early stages, he stepped down from his role in Secret Healer to focus on medical treatment and recovery.
