Cheongdamdong Scandal (Korean: 청담동 스캔들) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from July 21, 2014, to January 2, 2015. The series consists of 119 episodes and was broadcast in the weekday 08:30 time slot.

Background and Production

The drama is set in the Cheongdam district of Seoul, an area widely associated with affluence and high-society lifestyles. The narrative centers on the scandals and interpersonal conflicts occurring within this wealthy environment. The first script reading for the production was held in June 2014 at the SBS Ilsan Production Studios located in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

The series succeeded the drama Only My Love in its time slot and was followed by Fabulous Neighbor on January 5, 2015.

Reception and Awards

At the 2014 SBS Drama Awards held on December 31, 2014, the series received recognition for its performances. Choi Jung-Yoon was awarded the Excellent Actress award in the long-length drama category, and Kim Hye-Sun received the Special Actress award in the same category.
