Chacha (2024 Film)

Chacha is a Japanese feature film released on October 11, 2024. Directed by Mai Sakai, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Takamasa Oe, the film explores the life of a young woman navigating personal and professional relationships with a non-conformist attitude.

Plot

The story follows Chacha, played by Marika Ito, an illustrator working at a design firm. Known for her free-spirited nature, Chacha maintains a philosophy of living authentically without concern for the opinions of others, a trait that occasionally creates friction with those around her. Her life takes a turn when she encounters Raku, portrayed by Taishi Nakagawa, on a rooftop. Despite their contrasting personalities and outlooks, the two find themselves drawn to one another.
