Cha Yub Biography

Cha Yub (Hangul: 차엽), also known by his birth name Kim Jong-Yub (김종엽), is a South Korean actor born in 1986. Standing at a height of 181 cm, he has established a diverse acting career across South Korean cinema and television series since the mid-2000s, portraying a wide array of supporting and character roles.

Acting Career

Cha began appearing in feature films and television dramas in the mid-2000s. His early film credits include small appearances in Love is a Crazy Thing (2005) and Hot for Teacher (2006). Over the subsequent decades, he steadily expanded his portfolio with appearances in crime thrillers, dramas, and romantic comedies.

In television, Cha gained notable recognition for his supporting roles in popular drama series. He appeared as a high school senior in the hit tvN nostalgia drama Reply 1988 (2015–2016) and played baseball player Seo Yeong-Ju in the critically acclaimed SBS sports office drama Hot Stove League (2019–2020). His subsequent television credits include roles in OCN's Train (2020), Netflix's monster thriller Sweet Home (2020), JTBC's Insider (2022), and the SBS crime-thriller series Connection (2024).
