Byeon began his acting career with television appearances in 2016, including supporting roles in Dear My Friends and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. Over the subsequent years, he expanded his portfolio with notable drama series such as Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency (2019), Record of Youth (2020), and Moonshine (2021-2022).
