Buried Hearts

Buried Hearts (Korean: 보물섬; RR: Bomulseom) is a South Korean television series that aired on SBS from February 21 to April 12, 2025. The series occupies the Friday and Saturday 22:00 time slot, following the conclusion of Love Scout and preceding The Haunted Palace.

Plot

The narrative centers on a high-stakes conflict involving a political slush fund valued at 2 trillion won. The story follows a man who hacks into the fund to ensure his survival, inadvertently triggering a confrontation with a powerful, shadowy figure who loses the money after ordering the death of a man without realizing the funds had been compromised.

Seo Dong-Ju, portrayed by Park Hyung-Sik, is a key figure in the chairman's secretary office at the Daesan Group. Known as the "Daesan Man," he maintains a facade of absolute loyalty to the conglomerate while secretly harboring ambitions to dismantle and consume the organization from within. His antagonist, Yeom Jang-Sun (Heo Jun-Ho), is a former director of the National Intelligence Service and a current law school professor. Yeom is depicted as a primary power broker in South Korean politics, exerting control over influential figures and finding satisfaction in manipulating others like puppets.
