Bunhongsin (2005 Film)

Bunhongsin (Korean: 분홍신), released internationally as The Red Shoes, is a 2005 South Korean horror film directed by Kim Yong-Kyoon. The screenplay, written by Kim Yong-Kyoon, draws thematic inspiration from the fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen.

Plot

The story follows a divorced mother who discovers a pair of abandoned red shoes in a subway station. After taking them home, she finds herself drawn to their unique appearance. However, she remains unaware that the shoes are haunted and carry a malevolent influence that begins to affect her life and those around her.
