Brother Trap

Brother Trap is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TBS from January 24 to March 21, 2023. The series, which consists of nine episodes, is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Kyo Hinata, which was first published by Kadokawa on December 15, 2018.

Plot

The story follows Akari Tachibana, a university student who has struggled to move on from a past relationship with her high school boyfriend, Yamato Naruse. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Izumi Naruse, a younger university student. While Izumi shares a warm and sincere personality with Akari, he is notably more direct and honest in his interactions with others. As the two develop a romantic connection, Akari eventually discovers that Izumi is the younger brother of her former boyfriend, Yamato.

Production

The drama was directed by Takuya Sakagami, Katsuhiro Omoto, and Ryosuke Fukawa, with the screenplay written by Satoko Okazaki. The series aired in the Tuesday 24:58 time slot on TBS. It followed the conclusion of Watashi no Shitekurenai Pheromone Kareshi and was succeeded by Watashi ga Himo wo Kau Nante on March 28, 2023.
