Broken (2025 South Korean Film)

Broken (Korean: 브로큰) is a South Korean thriller film directed and written by Kim Jin-Hwang. The film was released on February 5, 2025, and features a cast including Ha Jung-Woo, Kim Nam-Gil, and Yoo Da-In.

Plot

The story follows Bae Min-Tae (Ha Jung-Woo), a former gang member currently working in construction. His life is upended when he receives news of the death of his younger brother, Bae Seok-Tae, and the subsequent disappearance of his sister-in-law, Moon-Young (Yoo Da-In). During his investigation into his brother's death, Min-Tae discovers a connection to a novelist named Kang Ho-Ryeong (Kim Nam-Gil), whose book, Nocturnal Trip, appears to have predicted the event. Driven by anger, Min-Tae embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind the night his brother died.

Production

The film was produced by Kim Hyeong-Seok, with cinematography by Park Jung-Hoon. Principal photography for the project commenced on January 21, 2021, and concluded on April 8, 2021.
