Brain Cooperation

Brain Cooperation (Korean: 두뇌공조; RR: Dunwegongjo) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from January 2 to February 28, 2023. The series follows the professional and personal partnership between a brilliant neuroscientist and a veteran detective as they collaborate to solve criminal cases.

Premise

The story centers on Shin Ha-Ru (Jung Yong-Hwa), a neuroscientist from a multi-generational medical family. Ha-Ru is characterized by his unwavering confidence and adherence to his personal convictions, often displaying a lack of empathy for those he deems unworthy. He is paired with Geum Myung-Se (Cha Tae-Hyun), a detective whose gruff exterior often leads to misunderstandings regarding his character. Despite his rough demeanor, Myung-Se is a dedicated and righteous investigator. The duo is joined by Seol So-Jung (Kwak Sun-Young), a hypnotic investigator, as they navigate complex criminal investigations.

Production and Broadcast

The series was directed by Lee Jin-Seo and written by Park Kyung-Sun. It occupied the Monday and Tuesday 21:50 time slot on KBS2, succeeding the drama Curtain Call. Following the conclusion of Brain Cooperation, the network began airing Oasis on March 6, 2023.

Due to the lunar holiday weekend, the broadcast schedule for episodes 7 and 8 was adjusted, moving from January 23 and 24 to January 30 and 31, 2023.
