Born Guilty

Born Guilty (Korean: 내가 죄인이오; RR: Naega Jweinio) is a South Korean drama series produced for the Disney+ streaming platform. The series is based on the webcomic of the same name by author Yimugi, which was serialized on Kakao from January 27, 2022, to January 30, 2025.

Plot

The narrative is set in a lawless urban environment during the 1980s, a period marked by rapid redevelopment in preparation for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. The story follows Paengi, played by Park Seo-Jun, who enters the local criminal underworld and establishes an illegal drug operation. His arrival disrupts the lives of Ssaengdak, a member of the Bukgu (Northern District) gang, and Bok-Hee, a key figure in the drug supply chain.

Ssaengdak, seeking to improve his circumstances, betrays his original gang to join forces with Paengi, a decision that leads to significant instability in his life. Bok-Hee, who shares a past with Paengi, becomes reacquainted with him through their mutual involvement in the illicit trade, often making unpredictable decisions that influence the trajectory of the plot.
