Boomerang Family (2013 Film)
Boomerang Family (Korean: 고령화가족; RR: Goryeonghwa Gajok) is a 2013 South Korean comedy-drama film directed by Song Hae-sung. The film is based on the 2010 novel of the same name by author Cheon Myung-gwan. It explores the dynamics of a dysfunctional family whose adult children return to live with their mother.

Plot
The story follows In-mo (Park Hae-il), a failed film director whose life is in disarray following his wife's departure and a series of professional setbacks. Facing financial ruin, he returns to his mother's (Youn Yuh-jung) home. He soon discovers that his older brother, Han-mo (Yoon Je-moon), a former convict with no employment, is also living there. The household becomes even more crowded when their younger sister, Mi-yun (Kong Hyo-jin), arrives with her teenage daughter, Min-kyung (Jin Ji-hee), following her second divorce. The film depicts the chaotic and often humorous interactions between these family members as they attempt to coexist.
Production
The film was adapted from the novel Goryeonghwa Gajok by Cheon Myung-gwan, which was published by Munhakdongne Publishing Group on February 18, 2010. Principal photography for the film began on October 18, 2012, and concluded on January 12, 2013. The final scene was shot along the Han River.
