Bluebeard (2017 South Korean Film)

Bluebeard (Korean: 해빙; RR: Haebing) is a 2017 South Korean psychological thriller film written and directed by Lee Soo-Youn. The film follows the story of Seung-Hoon, a physician who relocates to a satellite city of Seoul after his clinic in Gangnam goes bankrupt. His life takes a dark turn when he becomes involved in a series of murder investigations following the discovery of a severed body in the melting Han River.

Production

The film was produced by Choi Jae-Won and features cinematography by Uhm Hye-Jung. Principal photography commenced on July 20, 2015, at Namyangju Studios in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Filming concluded on October 7, 2015. The film was distributed by Lotte Entertainment and received its theatrical release in South Korea on March 1, 2017.
