Blue Busking

Blue Busking (Korean: 마차 타고 고래고래; RR: Macha Tago Goraegorae) is a 2017 South Korean musical film directed and written by Ahn Jae-Seok. The film follows the journey of four men who reunite to pursue a long-held dream of performing at a music festival.

Plot

The story centers on Ho-Bin, Min-Woo, Young-Min, and Byung-Tae, who were members of the band "Route 1" during their high school years. As adults, the group faces various personal challenges: Ho-Bin has struggled as an actor for a decade, Young-Min suffers from aphasia following a difficult romantic experience, and Min-Woo decides to leave music behind after one final performance.

To fulfill a childhood dream, the friends decide to travel to a music festival in Mokpo. They choose to walk to their destination, a journey expected to take one month, and plan to perform on the streets along the way.

Blue Busking is a remake of the 2010 Italian film Basilicata Coast to Coast, which was directed by Rocco Papaleo. The South Korean production was released on May 18, 2017, with a runtime of 97 minutes.
