Sang-Do's life has been defined by the drug trade, influenced heavily by his uncle, Lee Taek-Jo (Kim Hui-Ra), a manufacturer of crystal meth. Sang-Do carries the trauma of his mother's death, which occurred during an accident at one of his uncle's laboratories.

Do is haunted by the death of his partner, who was killed four years prior while attempting to dismantle the operations of a powerful drug kingpin named Jang-Chul (Lee Do-Kyung). Driven by a desire for vengeance and justice, Do decides to manipulate Sang-Do, using the dealer as an informant to finally bring down Jang-Chul.
