Bloody Fight in Iron-Rock Valley (Korean: 철암계곡의 혈투; RR: Cheolam Gyekokui Hyeoltu) is a 2012 South Korean action film directed by Ji Ha-Jean. The narrative centers on Chul-Ki, a man who seeks vengeance after being released from a 12-year prison sentence for the murder of his family.

Production

The film's production took place in the summer of 2010. Principal photography commenced on June 24, 2010, and concluded on July 18, 2010.

Release and Festivals

The film held its world premiere on July 17, 2011, at the 15th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival. It subsequently screened at several international events, including the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival, the Stockholm International Film Festival, and the New York Asian Film Festival, where it had its North American premiere in 2012. The film received a general release in South Korea on July 12, 2012.

Awards

During its run at the 15th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival in 2011, the film was recognized with the European Fantastic Film Festival Asian Award and the Fujifilm Eterna Award.
