Bloodhounds 2 (Hangul: 사냥개들2; Revised romanization: Sanyanggaedeul2) is a South Korean streaming television series released on Netflix. It serves as the follow-up series to the 2023 action drama Bloodhounds, continuing the narrative centered around boxing, loyalty, and underground criminal syndicates. The series was written and directed by Kim Joo-Hwan and is adapted from the Naver webcomic Sanyanggaedeul by Jung Chan.

Production and Background

The series is based on the webcomic Sanyanggaedeul by Jung Chan, which was serialized on Naver between May 16, 2019, and December 24, 2020. Kim Joo-Hwan undertook both writing and directing duties for the second season, continuing his creative involvement from the first installment. Distributed globally by Netflix, the production consists of 7 episodes.

Plot Synopsis

Kim Gun-Woo (Woo Do-Hwan) and Hong Woo-Jin (Lee Sang-Yi) return to the sport of boxing, with Kim Gun-Woo pursuing his ambition of becoming a champion. Their path crosses with Im Baek-Jeong (Rain), a powerful and formidable figure who operates an underground gambling ring centered on boxing. Im Baek-Jeong attempts to coerce Kim Gun-Woo into the illegal fighting network using aggressive methods. In response, Kim Gun-Woo and Hong Woo-Jin resolve to dismantle the illicit fighting organization.
