Bitter Sweet Hell (Korean: 우리 집; RR: Woori Jib) is a South Korean television series that premiered on May 24, 2024, and concluded on June 29, 2024. The series, which blends elements of mystery and black comedy, was broadcast on the MBC network in the Friday and Saturday 21:50 time slot.
Plot
The story centers on No Yeong-Won, a renowned psychology consultant and celebrity who appears to lead a perfect life. She is married to a successful doctor, Choi Jae-Jin, and is widely envied for her professional and personal success. However, her life is complicated by a strained relationship with her mother-in-law, Hong Sa-Gang, a charismatic and sensitive mystery novelist. When an unexpected incident threatens the safety of her family, No Yeong-Won and Hong Sa-Gang are forced to collaborate to protect their household.

Production
The series was directed by Kim Seung-Woo with a screenplay written by Nam Ji-Yeon. During its development phase, the project was known by the working title Gaslighting. The production underwent a casting change during the early stages when actress Kang Hae-Rim, who was initially cast as Lee Se-Na, withdrew from the project; she was subsequently replaced by Yeon Woo.
