Beyond the Clouds (2014 South Korean TV series)

Beyond the Clouds (Korean: 태양은 가득히; RR: Taeyangeun Gadeukhee), also known by its literal title Full Sun, is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 in 2014. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Monday and Tuesday nights at 21:55.

Plot

The story follows Jung Se-Ro (played by Yoon Kye-Sang), whose life is upended following a fatal incident in Thailand involving a murder case and stolen diamonds. The event leads to the death of his father and leaves Se-Ro's own life in ruins. He subsequently adopts the life of a swindler, working alongside his partner, Park Gang-Jae (Cho Jin-Woong). The narrative complicates when Se-Ro becomes involved with Han Young-Won (Han Ji-Hye), a woman whose fiancé died as a result of the same incident that destroyed Se-Ro's life.

Production

The drama was directed by Bae Kyung-Soo and written by Heo Sung-Hye. It occupied the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot on KBS2, succeeding The Prime Minister and I and preceding the premiere of Big Man on April 28, 2014.
