Believer (2018 South Korean Film)
Believer (Korean: 독전; RR: Dokjeon) is a 2018 South Korean action-crime film directed by Lee Hae-Young. The film is a remake of the 2013 Hong Kong crime thriller Drug War. It follows the story of Detective Won-Ho, who attempts to dismantle a massive drug trafficking organization led by the elusive figure known as Teacher Lee. To infiltrate the syndicate, Won-Ho forms an uneasy alliance with Seo Young-Rak, a low-level member of the drug ring.

Production
The production of Believer took place throughout 2017. Principal photography commenced on July 1, 2017, and concluded on November 16, 2017. The film was distributed by Next Entertainment World. It is notable for being the final film appearance of actor Kim Ju-Hyeok, who died in a car accident on October 30, 2017, shortly before the film's completion.

Reception and Awards
The film received recognition at several major South Korean film awards ceremonies, particularly for the performance of the late Kim Ju-Hyeok. His portrayal of Jin Ha-Rim earned him Best Supporting Actor honors at the 55th BaekSang Arts Awards, the 39th Blue Dragon Film Awards, and the 55th Daejong Film Awards. Additionally, Jin Seo-Yeon received the Best Supporting Actress award at the 55th Daejong Film Awards, and Dalpalan was recognized for Best Music at the 39th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
