Be with You (2018 South Korean Film)

Be with You (Korean: 지금 만나러 갑니다; RR: Jigeum Mannareo Gabmida) is a 2018 South Korean romantic drama film directed by Lee Jang-hoon. The film is based on the 2003 Japanese novel Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu by Takuji Ichikawa.

Plot

The story follows Woo-jin, a widower who raises his young son, Ji-ho, alone after the death of his wife, Soo-a. Before her passing, Soo-a makes a promise to return to them on a rainy day one year later. True to her word, she reappears exactly one year after her death, though she has no memory of her past life or her family.

Production

The film was produced by Yang Soo-jung and Kim Jae-joong. Principal photography commenced on August 12, 2017, and concluded on November 12, 2017, with filming locations in Daejeon, South Korea. The film features cameo appearances by actors Park Seo-joon and Kong Hyo-jin.
