Ballerina (2023 South Korean Film)

Ballerina is a South Korean action thriller film released in 2023. Directed and written by Lee Chung-Hyeon, the film was distributed internationally by Netflix. The story follows Ok-Ju, a former bodyguard who embarks on a mission of vengeance to honor the final request of her friend, a ballerina named Min-Hee.

Plot

Ok-Ju (played by Jun Jong-Seo) is a skilled former bodyguard proficient in martial arts, marksmanship, and motorcycle riding. Her close friend, Min-Hee (Park Yoo-Rim), is a ballerina who finds herself targeted by an individual known as Pro Choi (Kim Ji-Hoon). Following a tragic turn of events involving Min-Hee, Ok-Ju initiates a dangerous quest to exact revenge against Pro Choi.

Production

The film marks a collaborative effort between director Lee Chung-Hyeon and actress Jun Jong-Seo, who previously worked together on the 2020 film The Call. The production features a runtime of 93 minutes.
