Baek Seung-Hwan

Baek Seung-Hwan (born April 17, 1998) is a South Korean actor known for his work in both film and television. Standing at 175 cm, he has established a diverse portfolio playing supporting roles in major motion pictures as well as younger counterpart versions of prominent characters in television dramas.

Film Career

Baek began his career as a child and youth actor, appearing in several notable feature films. His early credits include the thriller Wide Awake (2007) as Na Sang-Woo and the drama Goodbye Mom (2009) as the young Min-Seok. In 2011, he gained wider recognition for his role as Min-Soo in the critically discussed drama Silenced. His subsequent film appearances include South Bound (2013) as Choi Na-Ra, the crime drama Confession (2014) as the young Hyun-Tae, and the action film The Roundup: Punishment (2024) as Jo Sung-Jae.

Television Career

In addition to his film work, Baek has maintained an active presence in South Korean television. Early in his television career, he appeared in series such as Insu, The Queen Mother (2011–2012) and established a strong reputation for portraying the younger versions of lead characters in historical and contemporary dramas. Notable examples include playing the young Hyun Chi-Soo in Jang Ok Jung (2013), the young Park Ji-Sang in Blood (2015), the young Moo-Hyul in The Roots of Throne (2015–2016), the young Lee Young-O in Beautiful Mind (2016), and the young Lee Yeok in Queen For Seven Days (2017).

As his career progressed into adult roles, Baek appeared in Quiz from God: Reboot (2018–2019), the historical espionage drama Different Dreams (2019), and the television special Seventeen-Year-Old's Condition (2019) as Kang Ki-Hyeon. His later television credits include appearances in Pachinko Season 2 (2024) as Tae-Hoon and the ENA drama The Scarecrow (2026) as Im Seok-Man.
