Associate Professor Akira Takatsuki's Inference (Japanese: Junkyouju Takatsuki Akira no Suisatsu) is a Japanese mystery drama series that aired in 2021. The first season was broadcast on Fuji TV and Tokai TV from August 7 to September 25, 2021, consisting of eight episodes.

Background

The series is based on the novel series Junkyouju Takatsuki Akira no Suisatsu, written by Mikage Sawamura and first published by Kadokawa on November 22, 2018. The television adaptation explores themes of mystery and folklore through the perspective of its titular character.

Cast

The main cast features Kei Inoo as the titular Associate Professor Akira Takatsuki and Yuta Jinguji as Naoya Fukamachi. They are joined by Yui Okada, who portrays Ruiko Ubukata.

Supporting cast members include Hisashi Yoshizawa as Kenji Sasakura, Kenta Suga as Yoichi Nanba, Chinu Izumi as Hanae Sasakura, and Akari Yoshida as Aimi Tanimura.
