Assembly (South Korean TV Series)
Assembly is a South Korean political drama series that aired on KBS2 from July 15 to September 17, 2015. The series consists of 20 episodes and was broadcast in the Wednesday and Thursday 21:55 time slot.
Plot
The narrative follows Jin Sang-Pil, a man who transitions from working as a welder in a shipyard to becoming a member of the National Assembly. Despite his humble background and initial struggles with the complexities of political life, he is guided by his aide, Choi In-Gyeong, as he strives to become an honorable representative.
Production
The screenplay was written by Jung Hyun-Min, who drew upon his personal experience working as an aide to a National Assembly member for a decade. The series marked the first appearance of actor Jung Jae-Young in a television drama. The initial script reading was held on June 15, 2015, at the KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea.
