Ask the Stars

Ask the Stars (Korean: 별들에게 물어봐; RR: Byeoldeulege Muleobwa) is a South Korean television series that premiered on January 4, 2025, and concluded on February 23, 2025. The series aired on tvN in the Saturday and Sunday 21:20 time slot. It is a science fiction romance drama directed by Park Shin-woo and written by Seo Sook-hyang.

Plot

The story follows Gong Ryong (Lee Min-ho), an obstetrician who is the prospective son-in-law of the MZ Group, a major chaebol conglomerate. Gong Ryong travels to a space station as a space tourist to complete a secret mission. On the station, he encounters Eve Kim (Kong Hyo-jin), an elite space scientist and commander on her first mission. The series explores their interactions within the high-stakes environment of the space station, which also houses other researchers, including Kang Kang-su (Oh Jung-se), the son of a global financial family.

Production

The series is notable for the reunion of director Park Shin-woo, screenwriter Seo Sook-hyang, and lead actress Kong Hyo-jin, who previously collaborated on the 2016 SBS drama Don't Dare to Dream. Principal photography for the series began in April 2022.
