Plot
The story follows the investigative reporting team known as "Argon." The team is led by Kim Baek-jin (played by Kim Ju-hyeok), an anchor and reporter who is known for his uncompromising dedication to facts and his intolerance for professional errors. The narrative centers on the arrival of Lee Yeon-hwa (played by Chun Woo-hee), a contract reporter who is assigned to the team with only six months remaining on her contract. Under the mentorship and strict guidance of Kim Baek-jin, she strives to prove her capabilities as a journalist.
Production
The series was directed by Lee Yoon-jung, with a screenplay written by Jeon Young-shin, Joo Won-kyu, and Shin Ha-eun. The first script reading for the production was held on July 12, 2017, at the CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul. Argon occupied the Monday and Tuesday 22:50 time slot on tvN, following the conclusion of The Bride of Habaek and preceding the premiere of Because This Is My First Life.
