Arang and the Magistrate
Arang and the Magistrate (Korean: 아랑사또전; RR: Alangsattojeon) is a South Korean television series that aired on MBC from August 15 to October 18, 2012. The drama blends elements of fantasy, romance, and supernatural mystery, set against the backdrop of the Joseon Dynasty.

Plot
The story follows a female ghost named Arang (played by Shin Min-A), who was murdered and is desperate to uncover the truth behind her death. She encounters Eun-Oh (Lee Joon-Gi), a government official who possesses the unique ability to see and hear spirits. Eun-Oh is traveling to Miryang in search of his missing mother. When Arang pleads for his help to punish her killer, Eun-Oh initially refuses, but he eventually becomes involved in her quest, which leads him to uncover deeper mysteries regarding his own past and his mother's disappearance.
Production
The series was directed by Kim Sang-Ho and Jung Dae-Yoon, with a screenplay written by Jung Yoon-Jung. The first script reading was held on May 12, 2012, at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan, attended by lead actors Shin Min-A, Lee Joon-Gi, Yeon Woo-Jin, and Yoo Seung-Ho. Principal photography commenced on May 23, 2012, at the Namyangju Studio Complex, with the first scene featuring Arang observing Eun-Oh and his servant, Dol-Soe, from a rooftop.
