Anata no Ban Desu

Anata no Ban Desu (Japanese: あなたの番です), also known by its English title Your Turn to Kill, is a Japanese television mystery drama series that aired on NTV from April 14 to September 8, 2019. The series consists of 20 episodes and was broadcast in the Sunday 22:30–23:25 time slot.

Plot

The story follows a newlywed couple, Nana (played by Tomoyo Harada) and Shota (played by Kei Tanaka). Nana, a designer, is 15 years older than her husband Shota, who works as a gym trainer. Both characters share a mutual interest in mystery stories. After moving into a new apartment complex, the couple becomes entangled in a series of mysterious murders involving their neighbors. As residents are killed one by one, the couple attempts to navigate the complex web of motives and alibis surrounding the inhabitants of the building.

Production and Broadcast

The series was directed by Noriyoshi Sakuma, Naoko Komuro, Tsuyoshi Nakakuki, and Hidemi Uchida, with a screenplay written by Mitsunori Fukuhara. It occupied the NTV Sunday 22:30 time slot, succeeding Mr. Hiiragi's Homeroom and preceding the series Nippon Noir, which began airing on October 13, 2019. The drama achieved an average television rating of 9.3% during its run.

Following the conclusion of the television series, a feature film titled Your Turn to Kill: The Movie (Anata no Ban Death: Gekijoban) was released in 2021.
