All About My Mom

All About My Mom (Korean: 부탁해요 엄마; RR: Butakhaeyo Eomma) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2. The series consists of 54 episodes and was broadcast from August 15, 2015, to February 14, 2016, in the Saturday and Sunday 19:55 time slot.

Plot

The narrative centers on Lee Jin-Ae (played by Eugene), a woman who harbors a strained, love-hate relationship with her mother, Lim San-Ok (played by Ko Du-Shim). Driven by a desire for independence from her family, Jin-Ae eventually marries Kang Hoon-Jae (played by Lee Sang-Woo). Following her marriage, she faces the challenges of navigating a relationship with her new mother-in-law, Hwang Young-Sun (played by Kim Mi-Sook). Through these experiences, Jin-Ae begins to gain a deeper understanding of her own mother's perspective.

Production

The series was directed by Lee Gun-Joon. The project marked a significant return to acting for Eugene, following the birth of her first child in April 2015. The production also reunited Eugene with director Lee Gun-Joon, who had previously worked with her on her debut acting role in the 2002 KBS drama Loving You. The first script reading for the series was held on June 29, 2015, at the KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea.

Broadcast History

The series succeeded House of Bluebird in its time slot and was followed by Five Enough on February 20, 2016.
