#Alive (2020 Film)

#Alive (Korean: 살아있다; RR: Salaidda) is a 2020 South Korean zombie thriller film directed by Cho Il-hyung. The film follows the story of two individuals struggling to survive in an isolated apartment complex during a sudden, mysterious viral outbreak that causes the city to descend into chaos.

Plot

The narrative centers on Oh Joon-woo (Yoo Ah-in), a young man who finds himself trapped in his apartment as a city-wide infection spreads rapidly. With communication networks, including the internet and telephone services, completely severed, Joon-woo faces extreme isolation. He eventually encounters another survivor, Kim Yoo-bin (Park Shin-hye), who is barricaded in an apartment across from his. Together, they attempt to navigate the dangers posed by the infected and secure a means of escape.

Production

The film was directed by Cho Il-hyung, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Matt Naylor. During its development phase, the project was known by the working title #Alone. The film was distributed by Lotte Cultureworks and features a runtime of 98 minutes.
