Alice (2020 South Korean Television Series)

Alice is a South Korean science fiction television series that aired on SBS from August 28 to October 24, 2020. The drama, directed by Baek Soo-Chan and written by Kim Kyu-Won, consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast in the Friday and Saturday 22:00 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Park Jin-Gyeom (Joo Won), a detective who remains emotionally detached while performing his duties. During an investigation into a mysterious case, he discovers the existence of time travelers who arrive in the present day from the future through an organization known as Alice. As he attempts to prevent the negative consequences caused by these travelers, he encounters Yoon Tae-Yi (Kim Hee-Seon), a genius physicist who bears a striking resemblance to his mother, who died in the past. Together, they work to uncover the secrets behind time travel and the truth regarding their connection.

Production and Broadcast

Alice served as the first acting role for Joo Won following his discharge from mandatory military service on February 5, 2019. The series occupied the SBS Friday and Saturday 22:00 time slot, succeeding Backstreet Rookie and preceding Delayed Justice. Due to the Korean Thanksgiving holiday, the series did not air on October 2 and 3, 2020; episode 11 was subsequently broadcast on October 9, 2020.
