Aju Makita

Aju Makita (Japanese: 蒔田彩珠) is a Japanese actress born on August 7, 2002, in Japan. She has appeared in numerous films and television drama series throughout her career.

Career

Makita began her acting career at a young age, appearing in television dramas such as Going My Home (2012) and progressing to notable roles in both film and television. Her film credits include appearances in Hirokazu Kore-eda's After the Storm (2016), Shino Can't Say Her Own Name (2018), True Mothers (2020), and Happiness (2024). She also lent her talents to voice and character work in projects like the anime film adaptation Look Back (2026) and the live-action adaptation Kingdom 5 (2026).

In television, she has taken on roles in major network and streaming series, including Netflix's House of Ninjas (2024) and The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House (2023), as well as NHK serial television novels such as Welcome Back, Mone (2021).
