Ahn Bo-Hyun (Hangul: 안보현) is a prominent South Korean actor born on May 16, 1988. Standing at 186 cm, he has established a versatile career across both television dramas and feature films, earning notable recognition and awards in the South Korean entertainment industry.

Early Career and Television Breakthroughs

Ahn made his acting debut in television with early supporting roles in series such as Golden Cross, Two Mothers, and My Secret Hotel in 2014, followed by The Dearest Lady (2015-2016). He gained wider recognition when he appeared as Sergeant Im Gwang-Nam (known as the 'Piccolo' team member) in the military romance drama Descendants of the Sun (2016).

Over the following years, he built a diverse portfolio across various networks and streaming platforms. His breakout performance came in the JTBC drama Itaewon Class (2020), where he played the antagonist Jang Geun-Won. That same year, his role in the MBC thriller Kairos earned him the Best New Actor award at the MBC Drama Awards.

Leading Roles and International Recognition

Following his breakthrough, Ahn secured leading roles in prominent television and web series. He starred as Ku Woong in the tvN and TVING web-toon adaptation series Yumi's Cells (2021) and its subsequent seasons, as well as playing military prosecutor Do Bae-Man in Military Prosecutor Doberman (2022) and detective Jeon Pil-Do in the Netflix action series My Name (2021).

In 2023, he starred as Moon Seo-Ha in the fantasy romance See You in My 19th Life. His role as the eccentric yet capable protagonist Jin I-Soo in the SBS crime-comedy series Flex x Cop (2024) earned him a Best Actor award at the 2024 SBS Drama Awards.

Film Career

In addition to television, Ahn has maintained an active presence in cinema. He debuted on the big screen in the film Hiya (2016), followed by Memories of a Dead End (2019). He subsequently took on supporting and major roles in historical and action blockbusters, including Noryang: Deadly Sea (2023) as Yi-Hwe and the action sequel I, The Executioner (2024) as Min Gang-Hun.
