After Spring (Korean: 봄이가도; RR: Bomigado) is a 2018 South Korean omnibus film that explores the emotional aftermath of the 2014 Sewol Ferry disaster. The film was directed and written by Jang Jun-Yeop, Jin Chung-Ha, and Jeon Shin-Hwan. It was released in South Korea on September 13, 2018, with a runtime of 75 minutes.

Plot

The film is structured as an omnibus, presenting three distinct narratives centered on individuals coping with the loss or trauma associated with the Sewol Ferry tragedy. The stories follow Shin-Ae (Jeon Mi-Sun), a mother waiting for her daughter Hyang (Kim Hye-Jun); Sang-Won (Yoo Jae-Myung), a survivor struggling with the weight of his experience; and a man (Jun Suk-Ho) mourning the loss of his wife. The film depicts their attempts to find moments of solace and healing.

Production

After Spring was produced as a collaborative effort to address the collective grief following the Sewol Ferry disaster. It was distributed by CinemaDal, a company known for distributing independent and social-issue documentaries and films in South Korea. The cinematography was handled by Song Won-Ki.
