Adiantum Blue (2006 Film)

Adiantum Blue (Japanese: アジアンタムブルー) is a Japanese drama film released in 2006. Directed by Meiji Fujita, the film is based on a novel by Yoshio Osaki and features a screenplay written by Yumiko Kamiyama. It was produced and distributed by Kadokawa Pictures.

Plot

The narrative centers on a pianist, played by Nao Matsushita, who is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Seeking to make the most of her remaining time, she plans to travel to Nice with her lover, portrayed by Hiroshi Abe, to spend her final days in a peaceful environment.

Production and Release

The film was released in Japan on November 18, 2006. It has a runtime of 110 minutes. The cinematography was handled by Nobuyasu Kita, and the production was overseen by Ki-Ichi Iguchi.
