A Melody to Remember (Korean: 오빠 생각; RR: Obba Saenggak; lit. Thinking of Elder Brother) is a 2016 South Korean war drama film directed by Lee Han. Set during the Korean War, the narrative follows Second Lieutenant Han Sang-ryeol, a platoon leader who, while grappling with his own emotional trauma, finds purpose and hope by organizing a choir of children who have lost their families to the conflict.

Production

Principal photography for the film commenced on May 18, 2015, at the Aqua Studio in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The initial scenes captured during this period focused on flashback sequences detailing the past of the protagonist, Second Lieutenant Han Sang-ryeol. Filming concluded on September 26, 2015, at Deoksan Port in Samcheok, South Korea, with the final scenes involving a confrontation between Han Sang-ryeol and the character Galgori.
