A History of Losers
A History of Losers (Korean: 찌질의 역사; RR: Jjijilui Yeoksa) is a South Korean television drama series that premiered in 2025. The series is based on the popular webcomic of the same name, written by Kim Pung and illustrated by Sim Yoon-Soo, which was serialized on Naver between 2013 and 2017.
Plot
Set in the year 2000, the story follows Seo Min-Ki (played by Joe Byeong-Gyu), a first-year student at Hongin University. Alongside his close friends No Joon-Seok, Kwon Ki-Hyeok, and Lee Gwang-Jae, Min-Ki navigates the challenges of early adulthood. The narrative centers on Min-Ki's romantic life, specifically his infatuation with a fellow student, Kwon Seol-Ha, and his attempts to navigate the complexities of love and friendship during his university years.
Production
The series was directed by Kim Sung-Hoon, with the screenplay adapted by Kim Pung, the original creator of the webcomic. The show consists of eight episodes and was released on streaming platforms Wavve and Watcha starting February 26, 2025.
