A French Woman (Korean: 프랑스여자; RR: Peurangseu Yeoja) is a 2020 South Korean drama film written and directed by Kim Hee-Jung. The film explores themes of memory, identity, and the passage of time through the perspective of a woman returning to her home country after a long period abroad.

Plot

The story follows Lee Mi-Ra (played by Kim Ho-Jung), who returns to South Korea after living in Paris, France, for many years. Upon her return, she reconnects with former classmates from her drama school days and revisits familiar locations. As she navigates these reunions, she reflects on the divergence between her past aspirations and her current reality, particularly regarding her former dream of becoming an actress.

The film was directed and written by Kim Hee-Jung. Principal photography for the project commenced on July 24, 2018. The film has a runtime of 89 minutes and was released in South Korea on November 16, 2020.
